The exports of fish fillets form Iceland and Norway increased tremendously as the local seafood industry is using advanced tools and machinery to increase the production. The food processing equipment industry giants like Marel are introducing high-speed packing systems like Speed Batcher system, which will reduce the production costs of plants.

US Gulf Coast industry rebuilds after hurricanes

Hurricanes Katrina and Rita hit the seafood industry in the US Gulf Coast. The industry is, however, on revival path with determination and some external funding.
