Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) researchers Michael Cima and Emanuel Sachs have developed a personal computer-based method of manufacturing machine parts. Soligen Technologies has adapted the MIT process to make unmolded castings.

Nintendo wakes up: video games

Nintendo may make a return as a major industry player with the Nintendo 64, a 64-bit video game system with impressive three-dimensional graphics. Analysts believe that five to six million of the systems will be sold by March 1997.
