Bell now testing video e-mail booths

Article Abstract:

Bell Canada has launched a prototype of its VideoCourriel phone booth that has a camera and a computer screen. The VideoCourriel, dubbed the 'second generation of e-mail,' costs Bell C$25,000 to build. The first booth was installed at the Ex-Centris complex during the Montreal International Festival of New Cinema and New Media in Oct 2000. Two other booths would be installed at the Molson Center in Montreal during the duration of the Montreal Canadiens hockey season.

Le Journal does Wall Street: The crime and sports tabloid, looking for a little respect, gets down to business

Article Abstract:

Le Journal de Montreal, in a bid to increase its circulation and also change its image, has added a financial section to its newspaper along with the news, sports and entertainment sections. The financial section has a tie-up with Wall Street Journal, with selected contents being translated and included in the tabloid daily. The move has also been taken to attract big national level advertisers, and has resulted in a positive result.

Article Abstract:

A report is presented on the agency Taxi, which had hitherto focused on Toronto, and which has now set up an office in Montreal, the place where it originated in 1992. Daniel Rabinowicz, the former president of Cossette Communications-Marketing in Montreal is the president of Taxi Montreal. TaxiEs co-founder Paul Lavoie explains that he intends the new agency to be as powerful as the one in Toronto and discusses the reasons for the expansion.
