Hammered by weak demand

Article Abstract:

Japan's crude-steel output is expected to drop 7.5% to 25.3 million metric tons in the January-March quarter as steelmakers cut output in response to the growing steel inventories of other Asian countries. Japan's steel exports to the United States also declined, mostly due to price wars and sluggish economies.
