London's post-modern parable of the bank that had to say 'no'

Article Abstract:

The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development was to locate in London & had carried out feasibility studies of not less than 35 buildings for the same, however none of the buildings fitted their criteria for a perfect structure. The important lessons of this entire activity of property search were that politics and architecture are so entwined that neither can prosper where there is chaos in the other.

The Prince is in the tower again - does this mean more carbuncles?

Article Abstract:

The transition phase in field of architecture is explained right from the time of Prince Charles to the modern times where urban design is not under the control of architects. There is an absence of the process for developing and implementing new urban visions and they can be read as attempts to pioneer a new urban design on an architectural-project-at-a-time basis.
