Lucent to restructure as revenue drops 28%

Lucent Technologies Inc. posted a decline in revenues of 28% for the for the first-quarter ending December 31, 2000. The company will also implement a restructuring that will lead to layoffs, as well as take a charge worth almost $1.6 billion.

Lucent dismisses embattled McGinn
