Lufthansa's Reid will join Delta in key position as marketing chief

Delta Air Lines, an Atlanta, GA-based airline, has hired Frederick W. Reid to become the company's executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Reid left Frankfurt, Germany-based Lufthansa where he held the position of president and chief operating officer to join Delta. He is expected to assist in boosting Delta's revenue and yield management under the leadership of Delta CEO Leo F. Mullin. Mullin expects Reid to bring into the management team a global perspective as Reid possesses international experience and outlook.
