Article Abstract:

The Danish company Vestas Wind Systems is to deliver wind power generators totalling a value of DKr 200mn (USD 29mn) to York Research Corp. for a wind power park in Texas, USA. The supplies will include four giant generators and some forty 660 kW generators. The project, which will total 34 MW, is said to be the break-through for giant wind power generators in the US. Recently, Vestas was awarded a contract in Oregon, USA, valued at up to DKr 150mn. CEO Johannes Poulsen says the American wind power market probably is beginning to expand after having been quite stagnant since the mid-80's.

FLS FAR ORDRE PA 700 MIO KR

Article Abstract:

The Danish company FLS Milj has been awarded a contract in the UK, including the supply and operation of a straw-fuelled power plant to Energy Power Resources. The plant will be located at Ely, close to Cambridge, and is expected to be taken into operation in two years. The contract is considered an international break-through for FLS Milj 's bio mass based technology and for its strategy to deliver complete power stations.

DENMARK: VESTAS HAS BEEN AWARDED A CONTRACT

Article Abstract:

Dansk Vindkraft Entreprise has ordered 56 wind power generators, totalling 43 MW, from the Danish producer Vestas. The generators will be erected for windmill associations and private investors. The value of the contract is about DKr 250mn (USD 34mn).
