The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust has opened a new visitors' facility at its Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, site. The new building, designed by ECD Architects, has been incorporated into the existing offices and incorporates a restaurant and main reception area. The centre is entered at first floor level over a bridge which leads to a central foyer area, while gentle ramps lead visitors down to a double-height restaurant and onwards out onto the wetlands.
