Bertelsmann AG's Chairman Gerd Schulte-Hillen resigned abruptly after a disagreement with the company's Chief Executive Gunter Thielen regarding plans to merge the firm's music division with that of Sony Corp. The rift is representative of other disputes between managers and the dominant shareholder, the Mohn family.

Murdoch drops O.J. Simpson deal in rebuke to publishing star Regan

Article Abstract:

Rupert Murdoch, CEO of News Corp., has cancelled plans to publish O.J. Simpson's book "If I Did It". The book deal, which was orchestrated by News Corp.'s Judith Regan, had been greatly criticised recently. Fox Television has also cancelled its plans to promote the book with television specials.
