Managing conflict of interests between headquarters and their subsidiaries regarding technology transfer to emerging markets - a framework

Article Abstract:

A study examining the problems faced by multinational corporation (MNC) in transferring technology and knowledge to its subsidiary in emerging markets where intellectual property rights are not adequately protected, is presented. Suggestions are offered to resolve these problems.

Culture matters to multinationals' intellectual property businesses

The effect of cultural aspects on the dealings in intellectual property by multinational corporations is discussed. The various problems associated with such IP issues are also discussed. Different managers offer solutions to such problems.
