Shipping to Eastern Europe: the reach exceeds the grasp

Article Abstract:

The booming Eastern European market has been spurred by the emergence of more private companies and the trend towards a regional free market economy. These conditions have generated problems for the shipment of goods in the region. The situation is compounded by the absence of well- developed and maintained infrastructural networks for transportation. Several shippers, freight forwarders, logistics and other companies are creating new services to solve the shipment problem.
