Meeting of minds

Article Abstract:

UK architects are being encouraged to work in partnership with specialist firms, preventing complications arising from different groups working individually on designs. The use of multidisciplinary designing introduces the concept of collective responsibility for a project, which takes into account all aspects of design, from both the construction team and eventual end-user's viewpoint. A group design team was used to build new laboratories for pharmaceutical firm GlaxoWellcome in the UK.
