Merger means end of Clearnet name

Article Abstract:

Clearnet Communications' name will no longer remain in existence after the company has been acquired by Telus Corp. Patricia Bowles, spokesperson for Telus, said the company will be taking a very hard look at Clearnet's core brands but will not retain the Clearnet name. She added that the brands would eventually converge under the Telus Mobility label across Canada. The acquisition will also allow Telus to gain instant national wireless coverage across Canada and would be the basis for its future data and Internet service.
