Message in a bottle

Article Abstract:

Hair marketers are reportedly employing packaging innovations to emphasize their products on crowded store shelves. The industry players are not only relying on consumer advertising to promote sales but now more on packaging as competition becomes intense. Presently, the most popular packaging style for hair care products are the salon and premium look, featuring a package employing minimal, striking text and graphics and restricting color to one, two or three contrasting choices. The purchasing decision of consumers begins not so much with advertising but based on packaging when they get into the store and faced with huge selections.
