Mexico North Central deal signed

Article Abstract:

A consortium headed by Aeroports de Paris has acquired 15% share in Mexico's North Central airport group for $91 million. The consortium, which includes France's Societe Generale d' Enterprises, Holdingmex and local construction firm, Empresas Ingenieros Civiles Asociados, has beaten the $53-million bid by the Aeroports de Montreal consortium. Mexico's third airport group includes the largest number of airports in the country and has posted the highest growth in passenger traffic in 1999 as compared to the country's other three airport groups.

Mexico attracts quality bidders

Article Abstract:

A 15% interest in Mexico's Southeast Airport group was acquired for $116.5 million by a multinational consortium composed of Copenhagen Airports, Mexico-based construction firm Grupo Tribasa S.A de C.V., France-based Groupe GTM and Spain-based construction firm Cintra. The Mexican government anticipates to sell the remaining shares through an international public offering at the end of 1999 or early 2000.

Tribasa bails out of ASUR

Article Abstract:

Tribasa of Mexico has dropped out of Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste, the consortium that won the management concession for Mexico's South East airport group in Dec 1998. Tribasa is claimed to have tendered its ASUR shares to economic development agency Nacional Financeria, although the shares are expected to be sold to another Mexican company interested in joining the consortium.
