Michael Manley

Article Abstract:

Manley was a skilled orator and promoter of socialism on the world stage who converted to free-market economics in 1990, much to the delight of the US. Cheddi Jagan, President of Guyana who also once caused the US some worry, died on the same day as Prime Minister Manley, March 6, 1997.
