Mission statements: is it time to shelve them?

Article Abstract:

The results of an empirical investigation into the dynamic multimedia domain in The Netherlands are examined to study the impact of mission statements on performance. Further statement content as well as process was taken into consideration and it is found that a mission statement can lead to superior performance.
