The argument that Gothic is necessarily fake in the modern era because it is not structurally honest will not stand up here

Article Abstract:

The work by the Gothic Design Practice at St Edmundsbury Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds is important enough to demand attention. The work at Bury St Edmunds forms part of an increasing building project extending across five centuries, beginning with the area of St James' Church by John Wastell in 1503, a parish church within the compound of the massive church building destroyed at the Reformation surviving only in fragments such as the Norman gate tower.

Richmond in Surrey

Article Abstract:

The 16.75 million pounds sterling Canon headquarters building in Surrey, UK were designed by architectural firm David Richmond and Partners on a classical yet modern theme. The introspective office block appears 1970s in style on the outside while the interior is definitely 21st century, with lots of glass, open-plan offices and relaxed communal spaces. The garden has been landscape to provide an open feeling for the workers.
