The motorcycle market in the UK saw its first year of volume sales growth in 1994, helped by improved economic conditions, a fall in prices and their mobility on congested roads. However motorcycling is still a minority leisure pursuit with household consumption and expenditure very small. The custom motorcycle sector saw the strongest volume growth between 1990 and 1994 and the larges engine size category is the 701-900cc class. The sports motorcycle sector is one of the best performing sectors, with touring motorcycles the smallest sector.

Article Abstract:

Information and other types of statistical data regarding the market for ophthalmic eyewear in Italy are examined. These exclude the market for protective and industrial products. The data indicates growth in total sales due to competitive prices in the market. It also showed that spectacle lenses are more popular compared to contact lenses. The major players in the market include Safilo, Luxottica, Marcolin and Ciba Vision SpA.
