Mountains still to climb

Article Abstract:

The European Union (EU) meeting at Amsterdam produced less than impressive results for the European Monetary Union (EMU) and even less for other issues regarding the security and foreign policy of the EU members. There were however, results with regards international security and immigration that would prove that the meeting was not a failure as originally thought. There were victors and losers in the meeting where the only thing sure is that Europe still has a long way to go to prepare for the EMU.

A Spanish world

Article Abstract:

The second stage involves laying the groundwork for the introduction of a single currency. The final stage of an actual monetary union is yet to come.
