Multi-media

Article Abstract:

RGB Spectrum (USA) manufactures the MediaWall, its new multi-media display system offering. The display is anchored on a display processor which receives multiple computer and video signals, and displays them in windows across a multiscreen display. MediaWall will showcase data, video and graphics from several sources across a 2X2 line of display devices, which can be monitors, projectors or flat panel displays. The system will treat the four displays as a single screen. Every input can fill the whole four-screen array or any part.

Arinc and Orincon Technologies' GSTARS is a ground safety tracking and reporting system that is intended to prevent runway incursions. The system uses inductive in-pavement loop sensors and multisensor data fusion to detect, identify and predict aircraft and ground vehicle movement. GSTARS can be customized to the needs of an airport with installation costs for 25-50 loops estimated from $1.2-1.5 million. A system with more than 75 loops would cost over $2 million.
