The factors affecting the efficiency of multi-unit electricity auctions with possible complementarities are examined. By deregulating the electricity supply industries, many governments are trying to create a situation where buyers and suppliers can trade in the commodity.

Airlines push air-traffic overhaul: steep jet-fuel costs add urgency to drive to fix patchy system

European airlines are rushing improvements to their air-traffic control system to reduce unnecessary burning of jet fuel, as fuel prices remain high. Overhaul of the system is anticipated to create a 12% savings, according to studies.
