Carnival makes bid for P&O Princess to stop rival's deal

Carnival Corp. has made an unsolicited offer to buy P and O Princess Cruises PLC in a deal valued at 5.15 billion euros. The bid, which has been rejected by P and O, was intended to block a rival offer from Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

NCL seeks higher bid from Carnival; cruise operator's chief willing to weigh offer

Article discussing the statement of Kristian Siem, chairman and largest shareholder of NCL Holding ASA, that he would be willing to consider an offer from Carnival Corp. if it is significantly higher than the initial $1.7 billion (Euro1.69 billion) bid in cash and assumed-debt that valued NCL at 30 Norwegian kroner (Euro3.69) a share.
