National Express acquires Durham for 166.1 million euros

National Express Group PLC announced that it has reached an agreement to purchase Durham Transportation Inc. for 109.3 million pound sterling (166.1 million euros). Durham is a operator of the fourth-largest student bus network in the US. The company operates in five states. National Express is a leading operating of buses in the UK. The deal is the most recent attempt by a transportation firm in the UK to enter into the competitive US marketplace.
