Neptune, TUI weigh options for a shipping merger

A cold-war plane lifts Ukrainians in cargo market

Antonov Design Bureau the Ukrainian state-owned company that specializes in outsize shipping is embroiled in a legal fray where its assets are being seized. A European company won a $43 million dispute against the Ukrainian government which the Ukraine refused to pay so state owned assets (in the form of two Ruslan airplanes) were seized.

China Cosco's net falls 65%

Article Abstract:

China Cosco Holdings Co. of China posted a net profit fall by 65 percent for the first half to 978.1 million Yuan ($123.1 million) from 2.77 billion Yuan last year. Revenues at the ports operator were due to weak container-shipping prices and soaring fuel costs.
