South Africa's KENIS thermal imager enters production

Article Abstract:

Denel's Kentron division began the manufacture of its KENIS thermal imager, which is being promoted for applications such as surveillance, targeting, aircraft navigation and wweapon guidance. The imaging equipment features high thermal sensitivity, ability to resolve very small temperature differences and excellent performance against low-contrast targets even in poor atmospheric conditions.

New Australian touchscreen technology reveals a more accurate approach

Article Abstract:

APC Technology has created the Infra-T technology which is claimed to provide various advantages over previous approaches. The advantages of using the new technology are a more accurate read-out, lower susceptibility to false indications caused by unplanned interruptions and a greatly reduced performance degradation in the presence of bright ambient light. The company is promoting the Infra-T technology to original equipment manufacturers and offering it under license.

CelsiusTech promotes third-generation thermal imager

Article Abstract:

CelsiusTech Electronics of Sweden has created a third-generation thermal imager called BILL Infrared camera that can be utilized as a night sight with anti-tank missiles such as the Bofors BILL. CelsiusTech and Norway- based Simrad Optronics are also collaborating on a new tripod-mounted surveillance and fire-control system that will meet the needs of the Swedish and Norwegian armies.
