Tax planning issues and techniques are offered concerning the taxation of dividend recipients by Danish law which provides favorable tax treatment where the payor corporation uses the vehicle of the Danish holding company. Charts are included.

Researchers have determined that countries with law systems based on English common law tend to treat investors better than countries with law systems based in civil law. Common law countries also show greater capital market breadth and size.
