New Interpublic media network may include Universal

Article Abstract:

Western International Media Europe, a new European media network being established by Western International Media, Lowe Group and Initiative Media Europe, may eventually also include Universal McCann, controlled by sister network McCann-Erickson Worldwide. The new operation will give Initiative a second network to deal with conflicting accounts, and will allow access to Europe for Western International Media's clients. It is hoped in the longer term to create a global Western International Media network.

Cordiant turns Scholz & Friends into third network

Article Abstract:

Advertising agency Cordiant is to spin off its German arm Scholz & Friends into a separate network. The company has nine offices across Europe, including sites in Budapest, Athens, Warsaw, Vienna and Madrid. Cigarette-maker Reemtsma is its biggest client with billings of $339 million in 1995. The company will remain under the Bates umbrella in the short-term as the agencies share some clients.

Euro RSCG reorganizes; details new Campus network

Article Abstract:

Euro RSCG Worldwide of France, an ad agency group, has launched Campus a new European network of ad agencies, including Rempen & Partner and four of its subsidiaries. The formation of Campus is part of the company's restructuring plans which include a change of name, division into regions and management changes.
