New auto show chases high-enders

Article Abstract:

Four Canadian luxury automobile manufacturers are launching their own car show, called 'Luxury, Performance, Passion,' from Jan 17 5o 20, 2000, at Place Bonaventure. For BMW Canada, Jaguar Canada, Mercedes-Benz Canada and Volvo Cars of Canada, the move from Olympic Stadium to Place Bonaventure will add value for Montreals automotive enthusiasts. Observers believe that the move is aimed at easier consumer reach since a separate, downtown luxury auto show could help attract the type of consumers that the auto companies are after.
