New formula for original chemistry

Article Abstract:

The Boots Company and AMEC Design and Management teamed up to refurbish the D6 building at Botts' Nottingham headquarters site. Art Deco details were retained in the entrance foyer, and refurbishment to the external envelope included reinstatement of the pyramid rooflights and the installation of a sill member to deflect water from the original concrete details which were deteriorating. An interstitial plant floor was installed above the laboratories, with access to all main pipe, duct and cable distribution systems.

Complex of crossovers at Centre Point

Article Abstract:

An architectural re-design of the Centre Point building in London, UK has produced a community of bars and nightclubs which can be used both day and night by people working in the City. The Centre Point building was built during the early 1960s, although remained largely unused until architect Stephen Donald transformed the lower floors into a series of amenity areas which appear connected by steel and glass walkways.
