New partnership targets global business

Article Abstract:

Airways New Zealand and Lockheed Martin Air Traffic Management have signed a 10-yr partnership agreement in a program to upgrade the country's air traffic management system and cooperate in the international market. Lockheed Martin will provide technical skills while Airways New Zealand will contribute the business management skills of its air navigation service provider. Airways CEO Craig Sinclair said their partnership has resulted in a combination of technical and integration skills with commercial and operational service delivery skills.

New Zealand restructures

Article Abstract:

Airways Corporation New Zealand (ACNZ) has completed a restructuring for FY98/99. The company, whose revenues rose by 6% compared to the preceding FY, has divided its existing operations into four business units, namely, regional, oceanic, main trunk and military. ACNZ, which has also established units for trainings, publications and consultancy, has also announced its entry into a joint venture with Adacel Technologies and Lockheed Martin for a number of air navigation services contracts.

Craig Sinclair Chief Executive Officer of Airways Corporation of New Zealand

Article Abstract:

Airways Corp of New Zealand CEO Craig Sinclair opined that his company is advanced in comparison to its competitors in terms of air traffic management. He predicted that airlines worldwide will bring pressure to bear on operators unable to deliver services at acceptable prices when other service providers are available. Sinclair observed that the governments of Europe and Asia are already poised to introduce business principles to air traffic management.
