OM Gruppen makes bid to buy PmI

Article Abstract:

OM Gruppen AB of Sweden has made a bid to buy in a deal valued at 44 million krona, or $5.5 million, authorized exchange Penningmarknadsinformation PmI AB. The target company is a provider of central information system for Sweden's bond and money markets. OM Gruppen, an owner and operator of stock derivatives exchanges, said it will pay 55,000 Swedish krona for every PmI share, raising a little over 30 million krona with plans to write off the goodwill on a period of five years. OM Gruppen's fixed-income activities would be coordinated with those of PmI and create a new fixed-income exchange after the acquisition is concluded.

Celsius plans defense firm with partner

Article Abstract:

Celsius AB and TietoEnator Oyj are planning to combine their defense businesses into an independent firm. Fifty-seven percent of the newly-formed operation will be owned by Celsius. TietoEnator, an information technology firm based in Finland and Sweden, will own the remaining share of the firm. The new company will have a work force of up to 2,500 employees and yearly revenues of 255.9 million euros.
