OM's profit declines sharply, hurt by price cuts, market fall

OM AB posted a decline in its profits for the 2001 first-quarter. The company posted 25 million kronor (2.76 million euros) in pretax profits for the quarter ending March 31, 2001, compared to 299 million kronor during the same period in 2000.

OM had a pretax loss in the first half of 2001

Skanska's 1st-half profit increased 64%

Article Abstract:

Skanska AB posted an improvement of 64% in its profits for the first-half of 1999. The company also said that it expects to see strong results for the entire 1999 year. Skanska is the largest construction and property group in Sweden. The group posted 4.93 billion kronor (566.4 million euros) in pretax profits for the period. During the same period in 1998, Skanska posted 3.01 billion kronor.
