One million of ETA deep-fat fryers for Bosch-Siemens

Article Abstract:

Eta (Hlinsko v Cechach, Czech Republic), electrical appliances manufacturer, started a new production programme at its plant Milotice, the Czech Republic, at the beginning of 1998. The programme regards the production of electric steam irons of a new generation. Eta co-operates with Bosch Siemens-Hausgerate (BSH) (Germany) in the production. Eta started co-operation with BSH in 1992. Eta developed deep-fat fryers Eta 160 with a stainless pot in co-operation with BSH in 1994. About 1 mil pieces of the deep-fat fryers have been produced so far. Eta produces over 300,000 deep-fat fryers per year at the Milotice plant. More than 80% of the quantity are exported.

A new cargo-terminal at the airport in Prague

Article Abstract:

Czech-Ogden (Prague, Czech Republic), involved in air cargo transport, has decided to build a new modern cargo terminal at the airport Prague-Ruzyne. About 650 mil Kc, 20 mil USD, should be invested in the project. The cargo terminal is designed for the clearance of 100,000 t of goods per year. The cargo terminal consists of an administration building with an office area of more than 5,000 sq mt and a check-in lounge with an operating and storage area of 10,000 sq mt. The check-in lounge should be enlarged by another 3,000 sq mt prospectively.

Paul Wurth (Ostrava, Czech Republic), manufacturer of blast furnace plant equipment, has been commissioned. The firm is a branch of Paul Wurth (Luxembourg). The newly set up branch in Ostrava will focus on the markets of central and south-eastern Europe. The firm will be involved in consultancy, trade, designing and production.
