China power projects deliver high voltage shocks

Article Abstract:

It is likely that progress in China with build-operate-transfer projects in the power sector will accelerate as construction begins on the $1.2 billion, 1,400 MW Zhubai coal-fired independent power plant and the $600 million, 400 MW gas-fired independent power plant in Shanghai province. The Chinese government is still hoping that the successful development of the Laibin B power plant will play a key role in attracting foreign investment.
