Open market: salaries are up and there's a shrinking pool of candidates. Time for companies to up the perk quotient

Article Abstract:

The upcoming retirement of baby-boomers means there's more competition for fewer people. This adds pressure to keep salaries up which bodes well for high-end good workers. Creating an attractive work atmosphere is a good way to retain employees because raising an employee's salary is not always effective in making employees stay.
