Article Abstract:

Anti-Catholicism is stronger in Scotland than elsewhere in the United Kingdom, except for Northern Ireland, and it has become less important in the UK, surviving in soccer and tribalism. The British monarch is not allowed to be a Catholic or marry a Catholic, but in other respects, Catholics have been assimilated. There is some opposition to state funding for Catholic schools from the political left. There is also concern about Catholic opposition to sex outside marriage, abortion and contraception among gays and feminists.

Death and the American

Article Abstract:

The death penalty remains a spectre haunting American society and an analysis of the motives for keeping the death penalty intact yields results about the social psychology of the nation. The death penalty remains rooted in racial prejudices and inequity and Christian doctrine may not be enough to persuade a nation of people who believe in accountability and who strive to keep it an integral part of society.

Article Abstract:

Pedophiles increasingly are targets of vigilantism and public outrage in the United Kingdom, and several vigilantes have maligned innocent civilians thought to be offenders. The government is being forced to appease public paranoia of being around sex offenders and the task is centered around protecting the rights of pedophiles and at the same time, protecting the interest of the people.
