PAKISTAN: CONSTRUCTION OF HYDROELECTRIC STATIONS
Article Abstract:
The Private Power & Infrastructure Board of Pakistan has launched an international invitation to tender for the BOOT (Build Own Operate and Transfer) construction of four hydroelectric power stations. These are the Daral Khwar 35 megawatt power station, the Golen Got with 106 megawatts, the Khan Khwar with 72 megawatts, and the Summar with 28 megawatts. The prequalification applications will be available until 31 December 1999, and the applications must be submitted by 1 March 2000. JORDAN: THREE WIND FARMS TO BE BUILT

Jordan's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has issued an invitation to tender for the construction of three wind farms in three different regions of the country. Each wind farm will have a production capacity of about 30 megaWatts. The invitation to tender is for Build, Own and Operate (BOO) 7 contracts. The deadline for the bids is 3 August 2001. Elektroprivreda of Bosnia and Herzegovinia has issued an invitation to tender for the construction and operation of 20 small hydroelectric power station. This is a Design Build Operate Transfer (DBOT) project, with a 20-year concession. The application may be obtained directly from the awarder.
