MAURITIUS: THERMAL POWER INVITATION TO TENDER

Article Abstract:

The Central Electricity Board of Mauritius has issued an invitation to tender for the construction of a 2.5 megawatts thermal power station to replace the existing Pointe d'Herbe power station. The invitation to tender involves the study, supply and start up of this new power station. This project will benefit from European Investment Bank (EIB) financing. The specifications sheet may be ordered from the awarder and the applications are to be submitted by 15 March 2000.

CYPRUS: DEMOLITION OF ELECTRICAL POWER STATION

Article Abstract:

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus has issued an international invitation to tender for the demolition of the electrical power station at Dhekelia 'A'. This turnkey contract is for identifying and carrying out demolition and dismantling work, and the removal of installations and materials. The applications are to be submitted on 14 January 2000. More information may be obtained from Michel Antoniou, the Senior Assistant Generation Manager in Cyprus, at 357 2 84 55 52.

Egypt: Invitation to tender for a power station

Article Abstract:

Egyptian Electricity Holding Co has issued an invitation to tender for a combined cycle electrical power station in the north of Cairo. This includes the study, supply, delivery, installation and starting up of two 250 megaWatts turbine combustion electrical generator, and two steam generators with heat recovery. This project is financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB). Bids should be sent by 15 January 2002 at the latest.
