PAWAN HANS BAGS ANTARCTICA EXPEDITION CONTRACT
Article Abstract:
Pawan Hans Helicopter Ltd (PHHL), Delhi, has pipped the Australian Jayrow Helicopter to bag the contract with the Indian Antarctic expedition. So far, the Indian Military and the Australian firm were flying with Indian expeditions. The contract has been awarded by the department of ocean affairs. PHHL is the biggest civilian helicopter operator in South Asia. Two US-made Bell 407 helicopters will be used on the expedition which leaves Goa in December. PHHL is also tying up with Bell to expand services in India. (nr)

INFO TECH BAGS Rs24 CRORE GIS CONTRACT

Infotech Enterprises Ltd (IFL) of Hyderabad has procured a Rs23.4 crore order from Analytical Surveys Inc for providing GIS conversion, consulting and mapping services. The duration of the contract period is one year. IFL's recent order follows its successful execution of the first year of an earlier three- year project. The cost of the project worked out at Rs9 crore per year. (gs)
