PPR's net profit slides by 47%, but Gucci lifts operating results

Article Abstract:

PPR S.A. of France posted a net profit decline by 47 percent to 573.7 million Euros ($683.9 million) from 1.09 billion Euros last year. Revenue results are due to the divestment of Rexel to finance the purchase of Gucci Group. The former building materials group has diversified into retail trade.
