The strength and weaknesses of the preference ranking organization method for enrichment evaluations (PROMETHEE) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) methods are discussed. Integrating the basic features of both methods, operational synergies can be achieved in multicriteria analysis (MCA).

Generalized mixture operators using weighting functions: a comparative study with WA and OWA

Article Abstract:

Usage of weighting functions to formulate an aggregation scheme, based on generalized mixture operators for multiple attribute decision making, is described. Comparison of this aggregation scheme with standard aggregation methods using weighted and ordered weighted averages is presented.
