Parmalat's administrator unlocks claims on Parmalat

Article Abstract:

Enrico Bondi, Parmalat S.p.A.'s government appointed administrator, has decided to readmit $32 million in debt claims from Deutsche Bank AG into the court proceedings regarding the bankruptcy of the former dairy company. Deutsche Bank, like several other investment banks that also provided financing for Parmalat, still faces a lawsuit alleging it took part in the improper financial dealings that eventually led to the company's demise.

TUI investors may feel need to take holiday

TUI AG announced that it will seek higher cost-savings of 260 million euros for 2003, compared to 110 million euros in 2002. However, the company has been affected by the war in Iraq, and increasing signs of weakness in the German marketplace.

Deutsche Boerse ends bid to purchase LSE

Deutsche Borse AG has decided to withdraw its bid for the London Stock Exchange PLC under increasing opposition by shareholders. Dissident shareholders now account for 50-60 percent ownership of Deutsche Borse AG.
