PeopleSoft adds a cash portion to Edwards bid

PeopleSoft Inc. has increased its acquisition bid for J.D. Edwards and Co. by more than $850 million (716 million euros). PeopleSoft, which is fighting off a hostile takeover bid from Oracle Inc., has already made a $1.75 billion acquistion offer for JD Edwards.
