Performance measurement at Nordic companies

Article Abstract:

Research looking into how Nordic firms used three models of performance measurement found the firms used performance measurement to aid making decisions. There were a number of criticisms about performance measurement, such as it provided too much data and it focused too much on what had happened. The performance measurement models used in the study were the balanced scorecard, strategic management accounting and value-based management. Some 800 firms, from a variety of industries in Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark took part in the research.

Control systems in multibusiness companies: from performance management to strategic management

Article Abstract:

Research is presented concerning the formulation and implementation of business unit and corporate strategies within multibusiness enterprises. Control models used for the implementation of business strategies are discussed.
