Peru to sell mining firms

This article focuses on Peru's plans to privatize a 25% stake in zinc mining company Minera Iscaycruz. According to an announcement made last month by Peruvian mining giant, Centromin, details about the tender will be published on September 15, 1999. Korea prepares for Posco sale

The South Korean government is planning to sell its 26.7% interest in Pohang Iron and Steel Co. (Posco), and has hired Saloman Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch to handle the equity capital markets sale.
