Article Abstract:

In Africa, PetroFina wants to concentrate on Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo, two countries with a strong development potential. As part of this strategy, the Belgian oil production and distribution group has just sold out its minor stakes in companies in other countries. These include stakes in companies active in the distribution and storage of oil products in Burundi and Rwanda. The operations, which follow a previous operation through which PetroFina sold out its assets in refinery and distribution in Gabon, will bring big money to the Belgian group. The assets were sold to the French oil group Total (Gabon) and the South-African group Engen for the remainder.
