New Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey B. Kindler, Pfizer Inc. of the United States is to institute a restructuring plan. The world's largest pharmaceutical house needs a turnaround for flat sales and dsappointing drug line research results. Sales for the fourth quarter were $12.6 billion.

J&J profit rises on drug strength, Medicare switch

Article Abstract:

Johnson & Johnson of the United States posted an increase in third quarter profit by 8.7 percent to $2.76 billion. The pharmaceutical company was buoyed by an improved pharmaceutical market, less competition from generic rivals and beneficial results from the Medicare drug insurance.
