Pilot production at Bosch Diesel

Article Abstract:

Bosch Diesel (BD) (Jihlava, Czech Republic), automotive component manufacturer, will start the series production of high-pressure pumps on the first of three lines at a new plant by Mar 2001. The line started its pilot operation in Nov 2000. The second line should be commissioned in Apr 2001 and the third line in the spring of 2002. The construction of the plant, which is in the locality Jihlava-Pavov, was started at a cost of DEM 35 mil in the spring of 2000. The project's investor is Bosch (Germany), which plans to invest another DEM 130 mil in the plant in 2001.

US: NISSENS KOLERFABRIK ESTABLISHES SUBSIDIARY

Article Abstract:

Nissens Kolerfabrik, the Danish producer of radiators for cars, is to establish a sales subsidiary in the US before the end of 2001. Later on, the company will possibly also start producing radiators in the US. Nissens Kolerfabrik already has a turnover totalling tens of million of DKr on the US market. The aim is to increase turnover to more than DKr 100mn (USD 11mn) within the next five years.

DENMARK: DANTHERM TO CUT STAFFING LEVELS

Danthern HMS, which delivers refrigerating equipment to installations in the mobile telephony transmission network, is to cut staffing levels for the second time this year. This means that the total staff at the company has been cut by two thirds. This stems from falling order inflow.
